Activities to do in Andaman

  • Scuba Diving & Snorkelling:

    You might had never seen such an amazing scenery, docile fish and so much color anywhere before snorkeling in the Andaman Islands archipelago. Water in these islands are very clean and due to the transparency of the sea water, the willingness and tendency for Scuba Diving or Snorkelling is loved on high. To enjoy seeing Corals and Sea Lives, tourists are highly recommended to visit:

  • North Bay Island

    North Bay Island (North Bay is the best water sport spot of Andaman Islands. At a distance of half an hour boating from the jetty, it attracts tourists for water adventures such as sea-walking, snorkeling and coral view. The treasures of these coral islands are unforgettable. As the underwater world comes alive, one forgets that there is a less perfect world outside, so engrossing are the vast expanses of colorful corals, fish and vegetation. A peek into this magic land leaves one in a daze for the rest of the day. Guides take you fully equipped with oxygen cylinder and other things for a walk at the bottom of the sea where you can experience living corals.)

  • Havelock Island

    (The underwater world around Havelock has plenty to offer divers of all skill levels. In fact, much preferred areas such as Barracuda City, Turtle Bay, Seduction Point, Minerva ledge, The Wall, MV MARS, and Johnny’s Gorge are the most recommended diving spots when at Havelock Island. Whereas, Elephant Beach is the most adored and preferred spot where its Reefs are made of hard coral and some of the fish you’ll encounter are: Sweetlips, Snappers, Angelfish, Damselfish, Butterfly fish, Moorish Idols, Fusiliers, Starfish, Clams, Oysters, Anemone Fish, Wrasse, Parrotfish, and Lion fish.)

  • Cinque Island

    [Near Portblair] (One of the best dive destinations in the island, it has clear emerald water with a visibility of up to 80 feet. The deep-dive offers a terrific variety of marine-life, including black-coral, sightings of sharks and is ideal for the experienced diver.)

    Neil Island It is said to have the loveliest corals in whole of Andaman. In various islands, you can go for Scuba Diving, Snorkeling where Neil provides a rich variety of sites. The ideal dive season is from December to May. The Jetty area and Laxman pur beach-I are the best diving dive spots as a whole where even Snorkelling is available to view shallow areas of the coral reefs without going underwater with scuba equipment.

Sea Walking

It is terrific experience and one of the best experience when out in Andaman & Nicobar Island. Sea Walking is the latest sea sports to experience the underwater world without the hassle of swimming, snorkeling or scuba diving. The "Sea Walker" being introduced for the first time in India is only done here in Andamans apart from a handful of other tropical islands like Australia, Bali, Mauritius, Pattaya etc. It's simple, quick and easy.

There is absolutely no experience needed, no complicated equipments to handle as one walks on the smooth and clear sand of the sea floor. It's perfectly safe. Basically you go down to a depth of around 20-25 feet, walk around on the sea-bed (in a net-enclosed space of roughly 400 square metres) and spend around 20 minutes gaping at corals and fish. A large full face window in the sea walker helmet offers a close up view of the beautiful underwater world, see beautiful corals and play with colorful fishes. Anyone aging between 7 to 70 can go on to sea walk without any difficulties and the trained and certified guides (divers) are always in the water to ensure one's safe adventure.

Water Sport Activities

What fun is it for a non-swimmer in Andaman, you’ll only end up watching all your friends splashing into the water, while you sit and sulk, right? Wrong! ‘Cause what if you can’t swim, if you have the heart you can have as much fun in the waters as a pro swimmer can. There’s a trove of adventure sports in Andaman that wouldn’t require mastery in swimming, however you have to have the heart to plunge into the sea with your life jacket on. So, here are some of the famed water sports in Andaman that you can try (no swimming required):

  • Banana & Sofa, Boat Rides
